For a Wizard of Oz-themed event, I made these Ruby Shoe Biscuits, covering the shoes with deep red icing and plenty of edible red glitter.

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C (gas 4). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Cream the butter and caster sugar together, then beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Stir in the flour until the mixture comes together as a dough.
