This is the same principle as cupcake decorating, but you have to imagine tiny doll’s-house cupcakes. You can use sprinkles, pearls or sugar stars, or any of the cake decorations you find in shops, then mix up tiny amounts of royal icing to stick them on with.

Ingredients

  • About 100 plain white sugar cubes

Method

First, make the royal icing. Whisk the egg white in a bowl until stiff, then add the icing sugar, folding it in until combined and smooth. Immediately divide the icing into the bowls, mixing a drop or two of food colouring into each one, leaving one white. Cover and seal.

Fill each piping bag with one of the coloured icings, snip off the tip and then with the first colour, pipe the shap
