A measure of blackcurrant cassis or blackberry mûre liqueur in a glass of champagne or white wine is a French classic (kir royal). For kir royal, use 15ml (1 tablespoon) crème de cassis for each glass of champagne or white wine. It’s a simple cocktail often used as an aperitif, but also a lovely way of sweetening some fizz at an afternoon tea.
