Harvest Cider

I made this for my Little House on the Prairie dinner. As it was snowing outside, this glowing drink created a lovely, hospitable atmosphere as guests arrived. There is a similar British version traditionally drunk at this time of year called Wassail, which uses ale rather than cider.

This is ideal for serving at a tea party or party, but halve the recipe if you have fewer guests, although I usually find anything mulled seems to slip down fast.
