No matter the meal at hand, this salad always graced my mother’s dining table. It’s simple, delicious, and quite nutritious. Many cultures claim ownership over this classic salad. Some trace the origin back to the Ottoman Empire, others claim that it’s Persian. I just know it as Maha’s chopped salad, and it’s just perfect when the garden is pumping out fresh, vine-ripened tomatoes and crisp juicy cucumbers.
