In La table juive, I found two Turkish ice cream recipes and was torn as to whether or not to include them. They are not old recipes, but the Turks love ice cream, so it is not surprising that Jews in Turkey would love it, too. This one is like a frozen honey mousse or a rum-raisin ice cream. While Sephardic Jews do not make a habit of using alcoholic beverages, they occasionally use them in festive desserts and for holiday dishes.
