It is a cunning idea to have this butter in your arsenal. Terrific tossed with steamed vegetables and marvellous atop pan-fried fish. It brings a fragrance of the Orient.
To make the Spiced Almond Butter, dry roast the almonds in a frying pan over a low heat until golden brown. Tip them onto a plate and repeat with the sesame seeds. Pulse the almonds and sesame seeds in a food processor until coarsely ground. Add the spices, salt, pepper and thyme leaves and pulse until finely ground.
