Heat oil in a wok or large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and fry for 15 minutes, until golden brown. Add garlic and stir-fry for 1 minute. Add currants, walnuts and bread, and stir-fry for 10 seconds. Remove from heat and gradually stir in the yogurt. Adjust seasoning to taste.
