Ingredients

  • 4 cups pomegranate juice (juice extracted from 8 medium-sized fresh pomegranates)
  • ½ cup sugar

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients until the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Pour into a wide and shallow (about 1-inch-deep) glass or non-reactive metal pan and place in the freezer, for about 1 hour, until firm.
  3. Using a spoon, break up the granita in the pan and replace in the freezer. Repeat, until all the juice has formed into ice crystals.
