This is an excellent remedy for a cold. The Uzbeks make a similar tea but without the coriander.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 3 teaspoons coriander seeds
  • 6 black pepperco

Method

  1. In a medium saucepan, boil the water with the coriander and pepper corns. Simmer for 15 minutes over low heat.
  2. Pour the spice water into the teapot. Add the tea leaves, honey and lime juice, and allow to steep over a simmering kettle, or by using a tea cozy, for 10 minutes. Keep the tea warm. Do not let the tea steep for more than 10 minutes.
