Lebanese Grape Syrup

Jallab

  1. 6 cups grape juice
  2. 6 cups sugar

Method

  1. To make the syrup, bring the grape juice, sugar and water to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat.
  2. To make the drink, in a pitcher, mix 1 part syrup with 3 parts water, raisins, toasted pine nuts, and rose water. Pour into individual glasses full of ice and serve well chilled.
