Ingredients

  • 10 unwaxed lemons
  • 750 ml vodka
  • 730 ml water

Method

  1. Wash and dry the lemons thoroughly.
  2. Using a potato peeler, peel the lemon zest from the lemons, making sure not to get any of the white pith.
  3. Mix the peel into the vodka, cover and leave to steep at room temperature for three days.
  4. On day three, combine the water and sugar in a saucepan and stir over low heat until the sugar has dissolved. G
