This dessert, based on a Medieval hot drink, is super easy to prepare, and it has only three ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 500 ml double cream
  • 70 g castor sugar
  • juice of 2

Method

  1. Combine the cream and sugar in a saucepan over low heat and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Bring to the boil, remove from the heat and add the lemon juice and zest.
  3. Divide between six serving cups or tumblers and refrigerate for 1 hour until set.
