Coffee fans cannot resist the bold taste of Vietnamese coffee (cà phê sữa đá) —so rich and creamy, it’s almost like chocolate. Even non–coffee drinkers love it. You can skip the condensed milk to make black coffee served hot or with ice, but it’s the sweetened condensed milk that makes this unique. Vietnamese coffee has to be made with a Vietnamese coffee press, which you can buy for just a few dollars at local markets in Vietnam or at Asian food stores.
