Coffee milk (bạc xỉu) is a popular drink in southern Vietnam, especially for people like me who fancy drinking coffee but can’t take that much caffeine. The name might sound strange even to my countrymen from the North, as it originates from a Cantonese word that means “a glass of milk with a little coffee.” It has gradually become a staple offering on any coffee shop menu in central and southern Vietnam.
