Tamagoyaki is one of the most classic and popular dishes you’ll find in Japanese bentos. Thin layers of egg that are seasoned slightly sweet with mirin and soy sauce are rolled into a log shape and cut into pieces. Tamagoyaki is versatile and you can add various chopped vegetables and/or meat as mix-ins.

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients, except the oil.
  2. Heat a rectangular tamagoyaki pan or a small nonstick pan over medium-high heat and add the oil.
