Recipes don’t get more simple than this. This makes a fantastic accompaniment for any Sunday roast. It’s my favourite potato dish and is one of the first recipes I learnt how to make at Le Gavroche, I’m still not tired of it!

Ingredients

  • 125 ml full-fat milk
  • 200 ml double cream
  • 1 garlic c

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 4/180°C.
  2. Pour the milk and cream into a pan, add the garlic and rosemary, season well and bring to a simmer. Take off the heat and keep to one side.
  3. Peel the potatoes and slice on a
