Spiced, not spicy. With a hint of cumin and some fresh ginger juice added at the end, this soup should still be a hit with the whole family.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 brown onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped

Method

Heat the oil in the insert pan of a slow cooker or a frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrot and potato and cook for 10 minutes, or until the vegetables have softened, stirring occasionally. Add the spices and salt and cook for 1 minute.
