Poached pears are ideal winter warming food. They are ridiculously easy to make, taste delicious and look stunning. Alternatively, cool the poaching liquid, chill the pears and serve cold for a beautiful summer dessert.

Ingredients

  • 750 ml (26 fl oz/3 cups) green ginger wine
  • 660

Method

Pour the ginger wine and 750 ml (26 fl oz/3 cups) of water into the slow cooker. Stir in the sugar.
