Remove the hot pan from the oven and quickly spread the asparagus out on the pan, drizzle with the oil, and season with salt and pepper. Shake the pan to roll the asparagus and coat it with the oil, then bake until the tips are crisp and the stalks are wrinkled, 10 to 12 minutes. Serve.
