Oatmeal is a wonderfully filling start to the morning, and the instant stuff isn’t so instant when cooking for multiple mouths. Cooking the oatmeal overnight is the perfect solution for the busy weekday mornings when getting a nutritious breakfast made for the whole family sounds more like a fantasy than a reality.

Directions

  1. Lightly grease or line the slow cooker with a liner. Add the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, milk, and water. Stir to combine, and then cover, and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours.
  2. Stir the oatmeal before serving, topped with your choice of fruit.
