I adapted these typical Southern dumplings from Hoppin’ John’s Charleston, Beaufort, and Savannah Cookbook, by John Martin Taylor. He graciously gave me permission to use them. These are used for Chicken with Dumplings. They would also be good made half-size and cooked for 8 minutes before turning and then 8 minutes longer.
