The easiest way to serve horseradish is simply to spoon it out of a jar. The next easiest is to use prepared horseradish—white, not the red, which is sweet—and combine it with whipped cream or sour cream. I am particularly fond of the whipped cream version, which is less caloric because of all the air beaten in. The slight sweetness of the cream also tempers the bite of the horseradish.
