Lace Brush Embroidery

A cake covered in delicate hand-iced lace is extremely romantic. I love this design, which was inspired by the handmade lace featured on my own wedding dress. It is essentially made up of three patterns - a large flower, which is brush embroidered, smaller flowers and clusters of berries with leaves - which are repeated randomly over the cake ensuring all the space is filled. It is a good idea to practise piping a section of the lace design onto a spare cake board to get a feel for the patt
