This 1950s chic design - one of my favourite wedding cakes -was inspired by style icons of an era that has popular appeal today. The square tiers are royal iced to achieve clean sharp edges that are then hand piped with a pinstripe design in white royal icing. I have finished each tier with a row of royal-iced pearls around the top and base edge then blocked the wedding cake with fresh white roses and paper white narcissi.
