Corsage Rose

This vintage cake design was originally commissioned by Vogue magazine after I had designed the wedding cake for Madonna and Guy Ritchie. Inspired by blousy corsage fabric roses, it is dressed with handmade oversized sugar roses. Although I have chosen here to decorate a single tier, this design transposes well for an elegant wedding cake. Make roses in shades of antique ivory and caramel and use them to decorate a tiered, stacked, royal-iced cake.
