Isn’t it ridiculous that we’re all expected to build our own decks, paint our own houses, and do our own taxes, yet mixing up a batch of burger buns from scratch is almost unheard of. If you’re making burgers—bean-based or not—you may as well up the nutrient content of the buns! These have the soft texture of a good-quality white bun, so no one will know the difference. Make them small if you’re doing sliders, and if you just want buns, sans burgers, that’s ok too.
