Ingredients: 12 ounces coarsely chopped and toasted pecans (3½ cups); 4 large eggs; ⅔ cup sugar; ½ cup maple syrup; 1 partially baked 10-inch pie shell; 1 recipe Chantilly Cream; ½ cup Karo syrup; 3 ounces (¾ stick) sweet butter, melted

Pecan pie can all too often be ordinary, but the use of maple syrup turns this one into a classic Stars dessert, especially served warm with coffee ice cream. Total sin.

4 large eggs
⅔ cup sugar
½ cup maple syrup

Method

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

Whisk together the eggs and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Stir in the maple and Karo syrups and then the melted butter.

Put the pecans in the pie shell and slowly pour in the syrup.
