The broiled sugar and cinnamon make a crust that melts in your mouth.
Preheat the broiler.
Mix together the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.
Toast the bread on both sides until golden brown. Brush the butter on one side of the toast and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the butter.
Return the toast to the broiler and broil until the cinnamon sugar bubbles.
