  • About

It’s a good idea always to have simple syrup on hand. It will keep for weeks in the refrigerator. It is an excellent sweetener for ice tea or coffee, because you don’t have to wait for the sugar to dissolve.

Ingredients

  • cups sugar
  • 2 cups water

Method

Mix the sugar and water in a small pot. Bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute.

Cool the syrup, cover, and store it indefinitely in the refrigerator.
