Method
- Combine the olive oil and garlic in a small saucepan, heat gently, and cook over low heat for 1 minute.
- Slice the bread on a drastic bias into ¼-in/6-mm-thick slices, brush with the garlic oil, and season with salt and pepper.
- Grill until lightly charred on both sides and crispy throughout, 30 to 60 seconds per side. Serve immediately.
