  • 1 qt/960 mL brewed black, Darjeeling, Assam tea, or similar tea

Method

  1. Combine the tea, red wine, brown sugar, cinnamon stick, cloves, lemon zest, and star anise in a pot and bring to a near simmer. Allow to steep for about 5 minutes, then strain.
  2. Add the rum and kirschwasser and serve in a mug or large cup, while hot.
