Seasonal fruit in piquant spices, citrus juice and salt is a personal childhood treat. Rather like Marmite, you will either love it or hate it. You can add boiled chickpeas or potatoes, but personally I prefer just the fruit version. A true South Asian classic.
Place all the fruit in a bowl with the chickpeas and/or boiled potatoes, if using.
Squeeze the citrus juices over the fruit and season with the chaat masala, sugar and dry-roasted cumin. Mix well and chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving to allow the juices to mix well with the fruit.
