Semitransparent chilled arrowroot noodles dipped in molasses syrup are a favorite sweet during the summertime. The dish resembles a stream of flowing water, and it brings a feeling of coolness to all who partake. Commercially made arrowroot starch noodles, ready to cook, are available at Japanese food stores. But making the noodles from scratch, as I do here, is very easy and fun.
