Sugar mice are traditionally found in the Christmas stockings of British children. They can be made from sugar set with egg whites or egg white powder, or they can be formed from soft sugar fondant. The former is made much like a sugar egg, using a mould. The latter can be made by hand and make a great project to do at home with children. Be creative with the decoration – small sweets could be used instead to decorate and embellish the mice.
