Tempered chocolate can be used to make a multitude of shapes. Piping perfectly tempered chocolate into lacy shapes creates intricate forms that allow the chocolate to maintain its delicate texture while being stable enough to wrap up in cellophane and give as a gift. You can omit the edible white pearl dust, if you like.

Ingredients

  • 200 g/7 oz dark (bittersweet) chocolate (minimum 64% cocoa solids), tempered

  1. Lay out 6 medium-sized paper doilies to use as templates. Place a sheet of baking parchment on top of the doilies, checking you can see the pattern through the parchment.
