This Toasted Brioche moment is great for the days you’re craving something a little naughty for breakfast but don’t have the time or strength for pancakes or waffles… for instance, after a night of drinking. We’ve all been there. This dish is simple, sweet, and ready in minutes.
Toast the brioche. I love to toast it in a dry cast-iron skillet over medium heat for about 1 minute on each side. Keep a close eye! Brioche contains a bit more butter and is generally softer than most breads, so it tends to burn easily.
Spread on the cream cheese, then top with the compote and enjoy!
