This snack is versatile, since it can be presented as fancy or as casual as you’d like. I’ve served it as a dip at dinner parties with cocktails and rosemary crackers. I’ve also notoriously eaten this in bed with Real Housewives in the background and a family-size box of Wheat Thins. It’s all about balance, my friends.
Coarsely chop the eggs and capers together, then transfer them to a large bowl. Add the celery, shallot, mayonnaise, mustard, relish, chives, dill, and hot sauce. Add the cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until evenly combined and smooth.
Add the crabmeat and gently fold it in so it doesn’t break down too much.
