When I first started cooking, adding roasted garlic to everything was a trick I used to seem savvy in the kitchen. While my skills have grown and expanded quite a bit since then, I still believe a good bulb of roasted garlic adds depth to a multitude of dishes, sauces, and dressings.

Ingredients

  • 1 head garlic
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 2–3 tablespoons

Method

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Trim off the top of the head of garlic to expose the cloves and place it on a sheet of aluminum foil. Add the butter and drizzle with the olive oil, evenly coating the garlic. Close the foil tightly and place on a rimmed baking sheet.
