This sorbet can be made with any berry or a mixture of berries. For a party, serve spoonfuls of the sorbet in small shot glasses, topped with vodka.



  • 5 cups (750 g/ lb) blackberries


TO MAKE SORBET, purée the blackberries in a blender and pass through a fine sieve. You should have about 3 cups of purée. Place the purée in a large bowl and stir in all the other sorbet ingredients. Taste to check for sweetness, as this will vary depending on the berries. If desired, add more s
