Ingredients

  • 250 ml/ fl oz white wine vinegar
  • 225 g/8

Method

  1. Put the vinegar and sugar in a saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes to make a thick syrup.
  2. Add the preserved plums and mash well, then cook for another 2 minutes, stirring to form a sauce.
