- Put the rice in a bowl, cover generously with cold water and leave overnight.
- Line a bamboo steamer with muslin. Drain the rice and place it evenly in the steamer.
- Place the steamer over a pan of simmering water, cover and steam for about 20 minutes until the rice is plump and tender.
