Here, ground walnuts and sugar sweeten boiled pumpkin for a healthy dessert. Either pumpkin or winter squash may be used in this recipe.
Slice the pumpkin in half and remove the seeds and stringy fibers. Peel and cut the pumpkin into chunks about 1 inch x 2 inches. Boil in salted water until tender, 12 to 15 minutes. Drain well.
