Ukrainians love tomato sauces with a little tang and this traditional fish dish is no exception. Flavored with allspice, cloves, and capers, the tomato sauce is also slightly sweet. This is a fish dish served chilled as part of zakusky hour, but do not let this stop you from serving it hot as a main course with fluffy buttered rice and perhaps a green vegetable.
