Bublyky are rings of dough similar to bagels, but with a chewier texture and a wider hole. They are often hung on a string by the dozen at the rynok (market), in bakeries, or at county fairs. A pleasant teatime or after-school sweet or savory snack, bublyky are usually eaten as a pastry rather than a bread, dipped into tea, coffee, milk, or hot chocolate. Another way to eat bublyky is to break them into pieces to scoop up dips, sour cream, or jam.
