Honey Cake

Medivnyk is a honey cake that is truly a symbol of the Ukrainian household. Traditionally honey cake is baked at Christmastime, its flavor bold enough to team with any of winter’s dishes and stews. Try to give yourself some time before serving this cake, as its flavor improves with age. It’s flavors are best 3 or 4 days after it is made but if pressed for time definitely give it at least 24 hours.
