Also known as verhuny, these pieces of twisted fried dough are a personal favorite of mine and my husband, Kevin. Coated with honey or a generous sprinkling of confectioners’ sugar, khrustyky are just delicious with a big glass of cold milk. Purists would insist on using pig lard for deep-frying them, but sunflower oil works just as well.
