I often suggest serving my recipes with a green salad, but someone recently wrote to me and said they never actually knew what to put into a green salad beyond lettuce. Good point! So here is the one that I make the most. Sweet crunchy leaves, creamy avocado, nutty seeds and then a sharp vinaigrette, which enhances whatever else it is being served with. The avocado is optional: you could add in some shaved fennel or sugar snap peas instead, for contrasting texture.
