I rarely make dessert and generally try to keep things simple with some fresh fruit and natural yoghurt. But when I am entertaining, there is often a pressure to offer up something sweet at the end of the meal. These stuffed dates require minimal effort but offer maximum taste. They are still high in sugar but they taste decadently rich, so 1 or 2 feels plenty, and the sugar here comes alongside some fibre, essential nutrients and healthy fats.
