Beat two tablespoonfuls of butter to a cream with one-half cupful of sugar Add one egg unbeaten and beat the mixture until it is very light. Add four tablespoonfuls of milk and three-fourths cupful of flour sifted with one teaspoonful baking powder and a pinch of salt. Mix quickly and lightly. Bake in moderate oven in deep pie plates, twenty minutes Spread thick with strawberries and serve hot with rich cream.
